Data Center Calibration Apprenticeship Program
The Virginia Registered Apprenticeship through the Department of Labor and Industry, is a training system that produces highly skilled workers to meet the demands of employers competing in a global economy, through a combination of on-the-job training and theoretical classroom instruction.
SCI's one of a kind Calibration Test Specialist Apprenticeship Program is an 8-week (320 hour) course, plus 2000 hours on the job training designed to focus on the calibration and maintenance of critical environmental sensors and controls within high profile data centers and other mission critical facilities around the world.
Apprentices are employed with a salary range of $18.00/hr to $40.87/hr, dependent upon the position, experience, and education, and will receive promotions upon successful completion of the program requirements. Available positions are shown below.
The course is conducted under the immediate direction of Subject Matter Experts as well as professional instructors who are qualified under the Department of Labor and Industry standards for the apprenticeship program.
Related instruction consists of structured classroom training, hands-on training, and a series of training resources for self-study. Benefits include raises, promotions and VA benefits (if applicable).
