Seeking persons for GTAW, GMAW, SMAW and FCAW welding with experience aboard US navy ships. Candidates able to pass a 6G pipe test are preferred. Candidate shall know the workmanship and visual inspection requirements for welding processes per DOD standards.
Must have the ability to work in shipboard environment. Able to lift, carry and transport heavy equipment and boxes. The exact weight requirements will be determined by the specific job.
Able to work on and climb ladders, work in extreme temperature environments, shipboard, shipyards, under industrial conditions and in confined spaces. Able to perform other duties as required. Duties may involve high heat, humidity, noise and dirty conditions,
working aloft or over the sides of vessels, and riding ships at sea.
Travel may be required within and outside of the continental United States.
Must have the ability to read and understand blueprints and schematics, ability to recognize problems through troubleshooting and ability to find a solution.
Candidate will have the ability to determine kinds of tools and equipment needed to do a job. Analyze needs and product requirements. Ability to provide high level customer service.
High school or equivalent and appropriate Trade School or related Armed Forces school + 4 years related experience OR 8 years related experience.
Must be able to pass Drug Test and Background check.
