HUMAN RESOURCES MANAGER /Job # G100


Plans and administers policies relating to all phases of Human Resources activity for a 75-100 person company.

Responsibilities:

  • Identifies legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting Human Resources functions and ensure policies, procedures and reporting are in compliance.
  • Conducts recruitment efforts for all exempt and nonexempt personnel and temporary employees.
  • Plans and conducts new employee orientation to foster positive attitude toward company goals.
  • Coordinates management training in interviewing, hiring, termination, promotions, performance review, safety and sexual harassment.
  • Advises management in appropriate resolution of employee relations issues.
  • Responds to inquiries regarding policies, procedures and programs.
  • Administers performance review program to ensure effectiveness, compliance, and equity within organization.
  • Administers benefit programs such as life, health, dental, 401k plan, vacation, leave of absence, etc.
  • Recommends new approaches, policies, and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of department and services performed.
  • Keeps records of benefits plans participation, personnel transactions, tuition reimbursement and employee statistics for government reporting.
  • Prepares employee separation notices and related documentation, and conducts exit interviews to determine reasons behind separations.
  • Prepares reports and recommends procedures to reduce absenteeism and turnover.
  • Represents organization at personnel-related hearings and investigations.
  • Participates in HR related meetings, training and seminars.
  • Performs other incidental and related duties as required and assigned.

  • 6+ years Human Resources Generalist experience
  • Microsoft Office Suite Skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Good organizational skills
  • Personal leadership skills
  • Familiarity with applicable state and federal regulations
  • MAS 90 payroll system experience
  • Internet Skills
