Financial Analyst / Cost Accountant
- Project-Oriented Financial Functions:
- Responsible for budgeting, auditing, forecasting, and analysis.
- Support project managers in tracking, monitoring, and reporting of financial data.
- Perform financial analysis of assigned contracts projected staff hours, contract totals, revenues, and profit totals.
- Prepare billing packets for accounting ensure proper amounts and costs are invoiced.
- Create, maintain, and update financial databases and spreadsheets, and generate various financial reports for project managers and Government submission.
- Assist in the audit and analysis of the organizations direct and indirect costs, ensuring that labor and non-labor charges are approved, allowable, and processed in a timely manner.
Contract
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and procedures, as well as FAR, DFAR, and other Government regulations.
- Examine estimates of material, equipment services, production costs, performance requirements, and delivery schedules to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Assist in the issuing of RFQ, purchase orders, and modifications.
Proposal Duties
- Develop/prepare/review all cost data for proposals.
- Proposal preparation to include proofing, editing, assembly, etc.
Requisite Skills and Education
- Minimum of High school diploma; Associates degree in a related field is preferred. In lieu of a degree, equivalent experience is considered.
- 3 years experience in the preparation, monitoring, and management of Government cost data.
- Extensive working knowledge of Government contracting, FAR, & DFAR regulations.
- Highly skilled with MS Excel, strong computer skills and willing to work using Macintosh OS with MS office.
- Ability to organize and manage multiple tasks and to work in a team environment.
