Seeking technicians with extensive knowledge in marine propulsion
control consoles, control system hardware, operator consoles, and
the proper installation and control strategy for analog, digital,
PLC, and single loop control systems. U.S. Navy experience and experience
troubleshooting pneumatic control systems a plus. A good candidate
will have 4 + years experience with console layout and design, console
wiring, testing, and troubleshooting. Duties include instrumentation
and controls testing, start-up, tuning, and integration.
Must have the ability to use a variety of test equipment including
multi-meters, pressure calibrators, and sensor simulators.
Engineering or vocational/trade school and military background
is preferred. Routine travel also required.
Able to work with minimum supervision.
Must have good troubleshooting abilities.
Must be able to read and comprehend electrical drawings and schematics.
Must be able to project positive personal and company image during
stressful work periods.
Must have excellent communication skills, both oral and written
for training and extensive report writing.
Must have reliable transportation for local travel.
Be a self starter with good work ethics.
